Hey, y'all, I'm not Paula Deen. My name is Beth Yarbrough, I paint pictures, and I live in the South. This is a running account of how it all happens, and, fair warning, it isn't always moonlight and magnolias.
Disclaimer aside, if you're still with me, welcome to my studio, my home, my garden and my life. I live here with hubby, two cats, two dogs and too dang many mosquitoes. Although I have been an artist since the age of three when I picked up a Crayola and defaced several pages of a Book Trails storybook in an ambitious attempt to reinterpret a profile of George Washington that evidently intrigued me mightily, and even though I kept at it through several ensuing decades of raising children and building a giftware business, it wasn't until 1996 that I began licensing my art in earnest. Since then, countless products have gone to market bearing my artwork. Check your kitchen cabinet or your linen closet or your Christmas tree - chances are, you will run across a Beth Yarbrough licensed product - and if you do, you have my heartfelt thanks.
As I begin building this journal, feel free to stop in and say hey any time. If I had a virtual glass of tea and a porch rocker to offer you, I would gladly do so. In the meantime, I hope you find my story entertaining. At the very least, this should be good for a daily laugh. Stay tuned...
